Certification of Degree
Our office can provide a Certification of Degree which is a document printed on our office letterhead stating your name of record, degree conferred, and date of graduation. It is then signed and sealed by a University official. There is a fee of $20.00 CAD for each Certification of Degree. Below is a request form for you to print, complete, and submit with payment. Typical processing time is 5-7 business days upon receipt of your request and payment. During peak Convocation seasons, please allow 1-2 weeks for a Certification of Degree to be processed. Peak Convocation seasons are mid-May until the end of June and mid-October until the end of November.
Please note that we can only accept cash, money order, bank draft, or certified cheque (not personal).
If you have requested to have your Certification of Degree forwarded by mail please note that it will be sent via Canada Post regular mail.
IMPORTANT: a Certification of Degree is only available to those who have had their degree conferred. If your degree has not yet been conferred, you may request a letter confirming that you have met the requirements to graduate from the Registrar’s Office in your division.
Toronto School of Theology Graduates – please note that a Certification of Degree for your TST degree cannot be issued by the Office of Convocation. Please contact your college registrar for a Toronto School of Theology Certification of Degree.
(**Please note that Canada Post deliveries (including Express Post, Priority Post, Registered Mail, and EMS) are no longer delivered directly to the Office of Convocation. This may delay processing your request. If you have a pending deadline please consider an alternate delivery method.)
